We, at La Salle, are gearing up for an exciting and highly anticipated match against our old rivals, National University (NU), as we aim to complete a first round sweep in the UAAP women’s volleyball championship. The fresh and dynamic faces on our team this season have brought a renewed energy and determination, setting us apart from our previous team in Season 85.
Angel Canino, our rookie standout and tip of the Lady Spikers’ sword, is particularly eager to face off against NU after being swept by them last season. A former high school rival of NU’s Ane Bella Belen, Canino has already proven herself to be a valuable asset to our team, scoring 21 points in our recent game against Adamson.
Belen, the reigning Most Valuable Player, acknowledges Canino’s growth and contribution to our team’s success, and is excited for the upcoming match. Sheena Toring, also a former teammate of Belen’s in the NS-NU team, adds to the excitement of this anticipated clash.
Coach Noel Orcullo recognizes Canino’s integral role in leading our team to victory, and acknowledges the importance of her adjusting and getting back to her training routine after a brief illness. With Canino’s impressive performance in our recent game, scoring 19 of her 21 points in the last three sets, we are confident in her readiness for the upcoming match.
Our determination and grit have propelled us to a perfect start in the season, with a chance to complete a first round sweep against NU. We are ready to showcase our true worth as individual players and as a team, and look forward to the challenge that NU and their talented players present. As we strive to outrank other teams and achieve success in the UAAP, we remain committed to consistently improving and working hard as a team.#Lady #Spikers #clash #Lady #Bulldogs #ripping #Lady #Falcons
