A Cameroonian journalist has accused the White House of racism, claiming he has been discriminated against by press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre who allegedly ignored him for seven months. Simon Ateba, a correspondent for Today News Africa, demanded to be allowed to ask a question during a special visit to the press room by the cast of Ted Lasso. Ateba berated Jean-Pierre, stating that she was making a mockery of the First Amendment and discriminating against some people in the briefing. He accused the White House and its reporters of racism, and stated that they look down on him, adding that he has not been permitted to ask a question for seven months despite trying all the right channels to do so. Carlson called Monday’s encounter “one of the most awful things” he’s ever seen and said the rest of the White House press pack should be “ashamed” of shouting him down. Ateba was told to be quiet by fellow reporters, and his outburst came before Jean-Pierre or the celebrities she arrayed behind her had a chance to speak.#Today #News #Africa #reporter #calls #White #House #press #room #disgrace
